Spring in Motion: Poetry from the depths of my soul available to Friends of BB Lane Garden.

My heart is split between two great loves: the garden and the written word. Naturally, this website is where those two passions intertwine. Friends of BB Lane Gardens are warmly invited to explore Home in the Rolling Hills of Vermont — a poetry collection that weaves together reflections on life, love, and nature in the Green Mountain State. This short volume gathers around 50 poems written over the past decade, each one a thread in the fabric of a life’s work — and into the rhythm of words. Here is a fitting poem from the book that felt relevant to share on this cold Spring day.

Spring in Motion

A sweet moment stolen outside today,

Birds sing love songs in a joyful tune.

Cars rush past in their endless fray,

While snow melts fast beneath the noon.

Children rolls balls of snow with delight,

Launching them into the pond’s embrace.

Ripples spread outward,

silver and bright,

Spring’s energy filling me with feeling just right.

The world moves fast, yet here it slows,

Each fleeting second alive with cheer.

The rhythm of spring softly flows,

A vibrant pulse in the warming air.

Quick as it came, the moment is gone,

But spring’s bright tempo keeps pressing on.

Spring’s Return

The water lies still, glassy as a mirror,

Reflecting the quiet awakening of the world.

In the field, a small abandoned nest—

A forgotten home, cradled by time.

White tufts of buds on the trees,

Soft and luminous,

Cling like scattered pearls to their branches.

A warm spring drizzle falls,

Gentle and steady,

Whispering life into the soil.

Nothing wrong with rain—

Its rhythm soothes,

Its presence steady.

Look for joy,

But do not blind yourself to the pain

That carves space for growth.

Red hues streak the hillside and fields,

Hints of a life stirring beneath the surface.

The animals are awake now,

Their soft sounds carried on the breeze.

Daffodils bloom in the meadow,

Golden beacons of spring,

Standing proud against the damp earth.

The world stretches,

Breathes in deeply,

And begins again.

At Lunaria Estate, I am reviving the time-honored tradition of the Still Room—a sacred space where herbal wisdom meets modern well-being with luxury in mind. We believe true wellness is intentional, hands-on and deeply personal. There is no one -size-fits all to healing or wellbeing. It is a journey that needs constant revision and editing to be the healthiest version of oneself.

Lunaria Estate is a private residence that provides an in person platform for people who want to see what it takes for me to incorporate the following into my home: a Still Room/ blending room and a grow room for personal use. The herbs and flowers are grown at BB Lane Gardens, where tours can be arranged.
