A Little Life Update: Nesting Season (Literally)

Just a quick note to say that things might be a little quieter on the blog over the next week or so. I'm doing some traveling and I’m also on chick watch—yes, literal chicks!

Our broody hen is due around the 20th, and nesting is in full swing. It’s funny how even though she’s the one hatching the eggs, I’m the one running around doing last-minute prep—just like I did when I was pregnant. They call it "nesting" for a reason, I guess!

I’ve unexpectedly found myself in the role of midwife to a hen (a job title I never saw coming). I'm her biggest cheerleader—giving her pep talks, guarding her from curious flockmates who think her clutch might make a good snack, and just generally hovering like any anxious parent-to-be.

So while I might not be as regular with posts for a bit, know that I’m still around—just a little busy making sure new life gets a warm welcome. Thanks for your patience, and I’ll be back with more updates (and hopefully some very cute chick photos) soon!

PS There is still space for more people to join Friends of BB Lane Garden, which will give you exclusive in person opportunities to come visit our flock while the chicks are still young.

At Lunaria Estate, I am reviving the time-honored tradition of the Still Room—a sacred space where herbal wisdom meets modern well-being with luxury in mind. We believe true wellness is intentional, hands-on and deeply personal. There is no one -size-fits all to healing or wellbeing. It is a journey that needs constant revision and editing to be the healthiest version of oneself.

Lunaria Estate is a private residence that provides an in person platform for people who want to see what it takes for me to incorporate the following into my home: a Still Room/ blending room and a grow room for personal use. The herbs and flowers are grown at BB Lane Gardens, where tours can be arranged.
